Kingston

Disorganized, lovely day, to read

I am not sure why I am so drastically disorganized this year.  Today, for example, I went to the Pagan Festival in Kingston in front of City Hall, except I was a week early.  I hope I can remember to go again next week when it is really on.  I want to see the Norse sword work.

There was nothing lost because, the day is gorgeous here in the Kingston area and it is just nice to sit around the house both in and outside with my dogs.

I had to read a draft for a fellow writer in Hamilton and this is a good place to read quietly.  I will write this post and head back because there is a book by a fellow Canadian writer, Bianca Lakoseljac, that I started last week and have not found the time until today and thus I would like to finish reading it.

What would you do if you were here today?

No Green Man

There was not enough rain at THO for the blue chalk lines to wash off.  Or at the very least, the roof overhang is wide enough to protect the building from a lot of moisture, so we wiped it down this morning.

Thankfully, there was enough rain to halt the immediate crisis that the forest was facing, but still not enough to hold it off for long.

All over there are signs of the water shortage on the land and forest.  There are also a significant number of dry wells.  For those of you who do not know the climate in Ontario, August is our dry month and we are on day one.

All Wet!

Hj and I carried in 100 litres of water for the garden yesterday.  We are fortunate to have neighbours who are kind to us because we do not yet have a well on our land.

Today the garden looks really good again!

Hj, also did a bit of clearing nearby so that we can get the solar panels set up there next week.

Potato

I was out late two lights in a row.  Monday looking in vain for live music but then chatting with an old friend of a friend.  Bob the Trumpeter.  Tuesday at the Pub Moot chatting and laughing with new friends.  Drove home late on my bike.  It is so cold on a bike at night.  Both nights I forgot to bring a sweater, so I shivered for about an hour after getting home.

Today I am pooped!

So, this is what I have accomplished.  No work, no painting, no writing.  Just this… ;-P

Sharing Moments

When I am at Tiny House Ontario, life is very simple and slow paced.  I find that I take the time to stop and look when I see something beautiful.  I even take the time to return just to look again when I think places are wonderful.

This is just a little post to share some moments that I took the time to notice yesterday.  I hope that you take the day slowly enough that you can also see.
